Beautiful oak chair of turned wood.
In great condition except for a little crack in the right back leg.
Out of stock
A lot of turned chairs are still out there but what makes this on special is the great patina.
Especially on the armrests, a lighter color exists from age and deep dark coloured nerves.
This chair is from the beginning or half of the previous century.
Some history about the turned chairs:
In the 17th century turned chairs, also called thrown or spindle chairs, were most common.
They were made by carpenters holding a chisel at the individual spindels while a lathe was spinning it around.
Three legged turned chairs are also very common and are generally older.
